He has published two poetry pamphlets, \u003cem\u003eFaber New Poets\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e 12 \u003c\/em\u003e(2014) and \u003cem\u003eFighters, Losers\u003c\/em\u003e (2019). His reviews and essays, mostly on poetry and boxing, have appeared in journals including the \u003cem\u003eNew York Times Review of Books, Times Literary Supplement, The Baffler, Guardian, Observer, Poetry, New Statesman \u003c\/em\u003eand \u003cem\u003eLos Angeles Review of Books\u003c\/em\u003e. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout Karen Solie\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eKaren Solie was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, and grew up on the family farm in the southwest of the province. Her fifth collection of poems, \u003cem\u003eThe Caiplie Caves\u003c\/em\u003e, was shortlisted for the 2019 T.S. Eliot Prize and Derek Walcott Prize. \u003cem\u003eThe Road In Is Not the Same Road Out\u003c\/em\u003e (2015) was shortlisted for the Trillium Book Award. \u003cem\u003ePigeon\u003c\/em\u003e (2009) won the Griffin Poetry Prize, Trillium Poetry Prize, and Pat Lowther Award. \u003cem\u003eModern and Normal\u003c\/em\u003e (2005) was shortlisted for the Trillium Poetry Prize. \u003cem\u003eShort Haul Engine\u003c\/em\u003e (2001) was shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize and won the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize. His debut pamphlet, \u003ci\u003eAfter the Creel Fleet\u003c\/i\u003e, was published by Happenstance Press in 2012.
